Helping you achieve the level of vibrant health that you desire is my primary focus.
Individualized sessions are based upon treating the root cause of the issue as well as resolving any symptoms you may be experiencing. This may include recommending a Chinese herbal formula to support your specific needs. It often includes looking at dietary and lifestyle choices that can help your body return to a healthy state of balance. A gentle acupuncture technique is used to ensure your comfort.
I am licensed by the Washington State Department of Health and board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). In addition, I am certified as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist with the National Acupuncture and Detoxification Association (NADA) to assist with drug, alcohol and smoking addictions. I also have a communications degree from the University of Texas.
My areas of clinical interest include but are not limited to all types of pain, fatigue, and stress; women’s health including menstrual irregularities, PMS, hot flashes, mood swings, and sleep disturbances; digestive and urinary disorders, and depression.
For most of my life I have been interested in health, nutrition and exercise. It was my personal healing journey from a chronic illness using natural medicine that inspired me to leave a long and successful career in corporate America to pursue studies in East Asian medicine. I graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with a Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine after receiving three years of intensive training in a number of traditional East Asian healing modalities that are used successfully in the treatment of a wide range of disorders and painful conditions with an eye toward prevention.
